Next!

Oh my goodness! I haven been in here for 2 years! I'm glad i still remember my password to this blog.

I've stopped making bears for a period of time as i was busy getting married, adjusting to in-laws and moving in to my new house!

I'm in the midst of a packing and arranging my very own hobbycraft room. So i can continue on my bears and craftwork soon! woohoo~ =D

In the meantime, I've found a new hobby to occupy myself. Baking and cooking. =D

Chicken in milk

Fried Rice

Sponge cake - quite a failure as its too dry and hard

Vanilla Pound Cake - i think this is more successful esp on the 2nd attempt. Only problem is that it's still abit dry. The 1st attempt tasted more like a chewy bread then anything else. @_0

I think i would like to try baking bread next time.

wow.. it's been such a long time since i last updated. what has passed since then?

I've finally quit my job after thinking about it for a very long time & moved on to greener (i hope!) pastures. Since last monday, I've started on my new job and am feeling very tired everyday!

Katy has received Smudge a couple of weeks ago & I've received Bay from her. He's a darling little bear. ^_^ Coincidentally, we both designed our summer bears similarly. They are both going for a swim and have swimming floats and little rubber duckies! i swear they could have been siblings. hehe.. pics of them are at the end of the post.

I've actually just finished another little bear. but... he simply looks terrible... failure! that's another reason why i've been stuck in the rut for so long.. But! I've decided to leave him aside so that i can find my mojo again.  so now.. I am starting on a grey little bear today. Fur & design chosen. Head drawn already. Backing of fur is treated and waiting to dry. I can start cutting out the head tml. =)

Here's Smudge:

Smudgy

Smudgy is completed!

(But i cant show you pics yet cos her new mom hasn't seen her yet.)

Well, Smudge was originally a HE but after the ears were attached, Smudge become a SHE! It's amazing what 2 little things at the sides of a head can do to change a bear's looks.

I can't say anymore now, but once Katy has seen her, i'll post up some WIP pics! ^_^

The Plunge

Well. I've finally took the plunge and signed for a bearpile account. I decided that my bears will not sell if I just let them sit at home slacking and taking any action. So out into the world they go! I think i will try it for now and see how things go.

Deep breath.

Here it is:

Teddy Web Gazette 197

OMG!! I'm so surprised! My bear is in the Teddy Web Gazette  newsletter issue 197. omg!

ok, *take a deep breath* from the beginning:

Some time ago in december 09, i made a little bear head keychain named Pearlie (who later became Frosty). Since the fabric was from Bearycheap, i sent them a picture of Pearlie for their newsletter (they usually showcase a few bears made from their fabric in the newsletter).

since there was no reply from them, i had forgotten all about it. But today, when i opened my email, i saw Pearlie in the latest issue! woohoo~! *dancing around in joy*

Thank you for showing Pearlie in your newsletter Bearycheap! It has certainly made my day. ^_^

Someday...

Someday, i must try making an elephant. A distressed elephant.
I've seen so many Ellies around the web recently it's hard not to get infected.

And a mouse too. A lovely little mouse. Since i'm born in the Year of the Rat.

And a little mini bear-giraffe. I have some lovely fur sitting in storage.

And a large bear. An extra large one. About 1 metre tall. in shaggy maroon fur.

Ahh.. So many projects and so little time.

Maybe.. someday...
