Teddy Web Gazette 197

OMG!! I'm so surprised! My bear is in the Teddy Web Gazette  newsletter issue 197. omg!

ok, *take a deep breath* from the beginning:

Some time ago in december 09, i made a little bear head keychain named Pearlie (who later became Frosty). Since the fabric was from Bearycheap, i sent them a picture of Pearlie for their newsletter (they usually showcase a few bears made from their fabric in the newsletter).

since there was no reply from them, i had forgotten all about it. But today, when i opened my email, i saw Pearlie in the latest issue! woohoo~! *dancing around in joy*

Thank you for showing Pearlie in your newsletter Bearycheap! It has certainly made my day. ^_^

Someday...

Someday, i must try making an elephant. A distressed elephant.
I've seen so many Ellies around the web recently it's hard not to get infected.

And a mouse too. A lovely little mouse. Since i'm born in the Year of the Rat.

And a little mini bear-giraffe. I have some lovely fur sitting in storage.

And a large bear. An extra large one. About 1 metre tall. in shaggy maroon fur.

Ahh.. So many projects and so little time.

Maybe.. someday...

blog background

Because of Lisa of  A Whimsical Bohemian having a brilliant idea of hosting the OWOH, I came across this fantastic blog by Plumrose Lane.

If you have seen my previous blog designs, you would know that while it is simple and easy to navigate, it is supremely boring as i've been using the default templates. I've tried to customised the template but the html codes were just too complicated for me. Imagine my joy when i came across Plumrose Lane!

She has some wonderfully beautiful blog backgrounds. Do visit her! ^_^

In progress

Phew! finally managed to start sewing my new teddy. ^_^

Had a super busy weekend with not much rest in between and longing to start working on the bears. haha.. really addicted.

Started sewing the arms together yesterday and realised that faux fur is really terrible to work with. arggh! I'm so glad i bought the mohair Edward kit from Bare Clubs. i cant wait for it to arrive!

Ok, off to lunch now. Stomach growling...
